  1. Sarah de Nordwall says:

Thank you for all these beautiful healing words and all your hard work on our behalf. In this loving space that has been created, I was musing yesterday. I’m not sure why it’s in the past tense but … here it is! a poem…

    Untitled

    I remember Covid 19
As the time I learnt to hold a broom

    Not to make impressive flights
    Into rhetoric and transformation
Moving at a constant speed from place to place,
    But to sweep the floor,
    Clean.

    I remember the lock down
As the time I learnt to hold a trowel
And turn a pot of earth
    Upside down
To take out the unwanted roots
    For a new planting.

Sometimes it takes a global meltdown
To take the old things out of the fridge
And attend to what’s been left in the freezer
    For years.

Afterwards, in the midst of the coffins and the universal grief,
    And the sense of bewilderment
    At what the infinitely small
Can do to the infinitely larger,

Will I carry forward the essential rituals
    Into the world to come
    And keep it fresh?
    Or will I succumb
    To the old order
    when large was important
    And small was unseen?

    I hope not,
    Friend and enemy
    Covid 19.

      Andrea

    • Monica says:

Thank you so much Sarah! Looking back from the future into our present – an Easter we will never forget. A friend and enemy that has put us in touch with what is essential.

  2. Margarida Londral says:

Hello everyone, Clarifying what a One to One Conversation moment is.
This is not Spiritual Direction (because now it’s just a one off), nor confession (it’s not allowed to have online confession), nor counselling (very valuable if you feel you’d need to). All these are helpful means. But this moment of one to one conversion, wants to offer you a possibility to share your prayer or any issue searching for light. It will be up to 30min conversation, with one of us missionaries.

  3. Sarah de Nordwall says:

    and one from today…..

    SPACIOUS

    SPACIOUS
    is the opposite of Macbeth:
    “Cabin’d, cribb’d, confin’d, bound in
    To saucy doubts and fears.

    SPACIOUS
is room for the caged bird to sing
    and take wing
    when the door is opened
    from without
    and within.

    SPACIOUS
    Is how one’s timetable feels
When kindness is the gate to lean on
    Between one neighbourly activity
    And another

    SPACIOUS
Is the world that has been redeemed
By the outstretched arms of the Lover
    Of everything

    SPACIOUS
Is the energy of the green leaves opening
    In an ecstasy of readiness
    For the sun.

    SPACIOUS
Is the heart you have given me today
    That your Infinite Kingdom
    Come.

Thank you all for your sharings! It really helped to open my eyes and see Him speaking to me personally and helped me to listen & be filled, to see where my hunger and thirst is and to rely on Him and let Him clean/work in me by letting go, letting Him. It was a really meaningful Easter Vigil and it really also helped me to see hope as the Rabbis helped the Jews during their time of exile, in the darkness. God created goodness and plans for goodness!

“May the whole world know and see
that what was cast down is raised up,
what had become old is made new,
and all things are restored to integrity through Christ,
just as by Him they came into being.”

^^ Blessed Easter to all! (:
